Double felon sent to prison for up to five years

LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who pleaded guilty to drug and gun felonies will serve four to five years in state prison, Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon ordered Friday.

Victor E. Johnson Jr., 33, of Woodlawn Avenue, was arrested Jan. 19 in a police raid in an apartment on Packard Court in the Falls, where police found a .22-caliber handgun and two boxes of ammunition. He pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a weapon for that, along with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for selling crack cocaine in the Falls Sept. 24, 2014.

Johnson has been to state prison before, having served 10 years after a 2003 Niagara County conviction for three drug felonies.
