Staind's Aaron Lewis to fly solo at Town Ballroom

Aaron Lewis, former front-man of nu-metal act Staind, will bring his solo tour to Buffalo at 7 p.m. Feb 4 in the Town Ballroom (681 Main St.).

The group formed in Springfield, Mass., in the mid-1990s and found success following the release of its 2001 breakthrough album "Break the Cycle." The record's angst-ridden, acoustic ballad "It's Been Awhile" would go on to be the band's most popular song, launching the album to the top of the Billboard charts.

Since going solo in 2010, the songwriter has gone on to build a small discography of country-rock releases. His forthcoming sophomore record "Sinner," which features an appearance by Willie Nelson, will drop at the tail end of summer.

Tickets are currently on sale for $30 - $35 (box office, Ticketfly). A digital copy of "Sinner" will be included with each ticket purchase.
