Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award with Target: StrokeSM Honor Roll Elite Plus. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence. BGMC/GVI earned the award by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients at a set level for a designated period.


Buffalo Printing Co. has changed its name to Buffalo Design and Printing. The 83-year-old company was once known as Mr. Copy.


The Phillips Lytle Foundation donated $25,000 to WNED/WBFO to support the successful effort to land the filming of “Marshall” in Buffalo. Some of the scenes were shot in the WNED-TV waterfront studios. The foundation’s donation helped to underwrite the production costs for filming at the WNED-TV studios.
