NIAGARA FALLS – Father’s Day was last week, but you’ve still got one more chance to tell Dad he’s the greatest at the sixth annual Festival of Fathers, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hyde Park Spray Pad, at Hyde Park Boulevard and Pine Avenue.
The festival, which is free to the public, includes games and crafts, as well as a fishing derby.
The Festival of Fathers encourages postive father-child interactions, while celebrating dads, grandpas and father figures, but the whole family is invited to join in.
New this year is the Summer Fun Challege – 7 for $7, which encourages parents to participate in low- or no-cost fun activities over the summer. Participants are asked to post a picture or comment at each of the seven challenge locations for a chance to win children’s passes to the Aquarium of Niagara and a large pizza. Details are on Facebook on atHeal;th Families Niagara.
Festival of Fathers is offered by Family and Children’s Services of Niagara and sponsored by Fidelis Care.
