Lowdown: DiRosa, known as “Chargin’ Charlie,” is participating in his 45th season of local competition. He competes in the New York/Pennsylvania TQ Midget Association, a local traveling series which he has owned since 2013. He has been an NYPA official since its creation in 1997, when it was known as the Casey’s TQ Midget Association. DiRosa’s wife, Diane, also is a veteran NYPA/Casey’s official and has assisted her husband’s career since it began. Charlie credits George Turner of George’s Collision with providing 35 years of support.
Career Accomplishments: Prior to his days in the TQ Midgets, DiRosa campaigned for many seasons in the Limited Modified class at Holland Motorsports Complex, where he amassed 15 wins and earned that division’s season points championship in 1984. DiRosa is the 2004 Casey’s TQ Midget Association champion. DiRosa also raced in both winged and non-wing Supermodified competition, driving the entry of the late Ralph Wissing for five years. DiRosa was a victor of a Street Stock feature at Oswego Speedway in the early 1980s and won Limited Modified races at Perry Speedway.

Hobbies other than racing: Enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days.
