Ransomville summer concert series kicks off Tuesday

RANSOMVILLE – Joe and the Schmoes will kick off the Ransomville Free Concert Series is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the gazebo behind Ransomville Free Library, Ransomville Road.

The concerts, which continue through Aug. 16, include: July, 5, Craig Wilkins; July 12, Penelope; July 19, The Instigators; July 26, Slim Chance and the Can’t Hardly Playboys; Aug. 2, Tom Keefer and the Celtic Cross; Aug. 9, Stevie Fleck’s Soular Plexis; and Aug. 16, Frank Vence, a solo singer/guitarist.

The concerts are sponsored by CWM Chemical Services and the Town of Porter, and presented with the assistance of the Ransomville Business and Professional Association and Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce. The Ransomville Historical Room will be open to visitors during the concerts.

Ransomville also hosts Porter on the Lake Summerfest on Sept. 5 and the Festival of Wreaths on Nov. 27.
