Olcott man arraigned on sixth DWI arrest

LOCKPORT – Charles W. Hawk pleaded not guilty in State Supreme Court Wednesday to a felony driving while intoxicated indictment stemming from his sixth DWI arrest.

Hawk, 54, of West Main Street, Olcott, was pulled over after an alleged lane violation Feb. 17 in Newfane. He also was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation because his driver’s license had been revoked following his last conviction in Newfane in 2014.

That guilty plea to aggravated DWI resulted from an Oct. 4, 2013 incident in which Hawk nearly drove into Lake Ontario, but his pickup truck became stuck in sand on Olcott Beach.
