Country superstar Miranda Lambert will bring her "Keeper of the Flame" summer tour to town for a show at 7:30 p.m. June 23 in Darien Lake's Performing Arts Center (9993 Alleghany Road, Darien Center).
After taking the tour across the Atlantic for select dates in Europe, the bad-girl, Texas singer-songwriter (and former coach on NBC's "The Voice") has been racking up plenty miles this season stateside, thanks in no part to jumping on a handful of dates with Kenny Chesney on his current "Spread the Love" tour.
Since debuting in 2011, Lambert has released five albums and has been named Female Vocalist of the Year by both the Country Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music. Her most recent record, 2014's boisterous double-album "Platinum," found the Lindale spitfire leaving the pop sounds to some of her other crossover contemporaries and rather pair her country roots and tell-it-like-it-is vocals with a variety of rock styles.
If you're going to the show, be sure to bring a pet food item for Live Nation's Pet Food Drive to benefit the Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue. Fans who bring a pet food item are entered for a chance to win a ticket upgrade or meet-and-greet with Lambert. Items will be accepted from 3:30 to 7 p.m. before the show. Here are some of the items most needed by the rescue group: Purina Pro Plan dog food, Purina One dog food, training treats, Kong toys or other hard to destroy toys, anti-slip collars.
Tickets are still available for for $30.50 - $65.25 (box office, Ticketmaster, LiveNation or by phone at 800-745-3000). Kip Moore and Brothers Osborne will provide support.
