Falls man indicted in stolen gun case

LOCKPORT – A man who allegedly tried to stash a stolen gun behind a garbage tote at a Niagara Falls home pleaded not guilty to a two-count indictment Wednesday in State Supreme Court.

Gerald T. Remington Jr., 29, of 20th Street in the Falls, is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Police responding to a report of gunfire on 20th Street on Jan. 25 allegedly were told that Remington had hidden the gun. Acting District Attorney Theodore A. Brenner said that Remington also dropped a bullet during booking at police headquarters.
