Colden man charged with possessing hallucinogenic mushrooms

A Colden man faces drug possession charges after the Erie County Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Unit searched a Hayes Hollow Road home on Tuesday night.

Investigators found hallucinogenic mushrooms and a scale while executing a search warrant at an unspecified address, the sheriff’s office said.

Daniel Brace, 31, was charged with criminal possession of a hallucinogen, a class B felony, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

The unit started an investigation late last year that culminated in Tuesday’s arrest, authorities said.

Brace was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.
