State Police charged a Buffalo man with felony driving while intoxicated early Sunday after a one-vehicle crash on a mainline Thruway.
Troopers found Demario D. Douglas’ vehicle on Interstate-90 near the off-ramp to the westbound Kensington Expressway at about 2:45 a.m.
Douglas, 37, was taken into custody and registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent at the Buffalo barracks, State Police said.
A pregnant woman and a 4-year-old child were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They were taken to Women & Children’s Hospital to be evaluated.
State Police charged Douglas with driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, child endangerment, as well as several vehicle and traffic violations.
After being arraigned in West Seneca Town Court, Douglas was released on his own recognizance and has a June 30 appearance in Cheektowaga Town Court.
