Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint in Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A 62-year-old taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night in Niagara Falls.

The driver for Blue Taxi told police three men flagged him down at 11th Street and North Avenue and all three got into his back seat. They told the driver to stop the cab in the 2900 block of 22nd Street.

One man got out of the car, walked around to the driver’s side, pointed a black handgun at the driver and demanded all of his money while the other two men held the cab driver so he couldn’t move.

The driver handed over $100 and the men fled. Police were unable to locate the suspects.
