Meals on Wheels for WNY staff dietitian Margaret Tyrrell was awarded the Isabelle Hallahan Award for Excellence in Food Service from the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The award is presented annually in recognition of provision of quality food service by a dietitian working directly in a food service management or administration capacity. Tyrrell has been with Meals on Wheels for WNY for more than 36 years and was the first registered dietitian on staff, serving as the head of the Nutrition Department during her early career.
Nothnagle Realtors welcomed Megan Murray and Jade Liu, both licensed real estate salespersons, and John Duziak, a licensed associate real estate broker, to its Orchard Park office. Liu is an Erie Community College graduate.
Canisius College received a $10,000 grant from Honeywell Hometown Solutions, the company’s corporate citizenship initiative. The funds will be used to offset costs associated with students’ preparation and participation in the Western New York Chapter of the International Chemistry Olympiad. The Chemistry Olympiad is a local, national and international competition designed to stimulate and promote achievement in high school chemistry.
