NIAGARA FALLS – A man was accused of breaking into a shed behind the Twist O’ The Mist and Punjabi Hut Indian Restaurant to try to steal about $120 worth of ice cream – but was caught in the act by an employee, police said.
Both businesses on Niagara Street are next door to each other and have the same owner.
An employee of the Punjabi Hut said he saw someone behind the business carrying a box full of ice cream containers that had been taken from a locked storage shed. Police found the lock had been broken. Several employees restrained the man and held him for police.
The suspect was identified as Ronald R. Fuller, 57, of Ferry Ave. He was charged with felony third-degree burglary and petit larceny.
The business owners told police they have had problems with Fuller in the past and he appeared to be highly intoxicated.
