Elma man charged with DWI after crashing into house

A 72-year-old man who drove into a house in Elma Friday night had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas Koseck, of Elma, crashed into a home on Jamison Road just after 8:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.

Koseck failed field sobriety tests and registered a blood-alcohol content more than double the legal limit of .08 percent, though the precise reading was not disclosed.

Koseck was charged with driving while intoxicated and transported to Erie County Medical Center for evaluation.
