10th Street Gang member sentenced for two murders

Douglas Harville, 28, a longtime member of the 10th Street Gang, was sentenced to 17 and a half years in prison Monday by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara for his role in the murders of two innocent men mistaken as members of a rival street gang.

Harville, a member of the gang for a decade until 2010, was convicted under the RICO act of being part of an ongoing criminal organization in the April 17, 2006, fatal shootings of Brandon McDonald and Darinell Young and the shootings of six others mistaken that day as members of the rival 7th Street Gang on Pennsylvania Avenue, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph M. Tripi said.

Harville is one of 44 members and associates of the 10th Street Gang convicted so for West Side crimes, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr.
