Many people respect Ali for sticking to principles
A recent letter writer has stated that lowering the flags in Louisville in honor of Muhammad Ali was “a slap in the face to the over 1 million” people who have died in American wars. However, Ali evidently loved his country enough not to blindly embrace even its most negative aspects. He represented the best this country has to offer by standing by his high principles. Why should this ever be seen as slap in the face to anyone?
