NIAGARA FALLS – Niagara Falls’ rich sports history will be celebrated during “Weekend of Winning,” featuring football and basketball camps Friday and Saturday in Niagara Falls High School, 4455 Porter Road.
A celebrity charity basketball game featuring former college players and current NFL stars precedes the camp on Thursday in the high school. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the game starts at 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit multiple scholarships, including the “Give and Go” scholarship for a Niagara Falls-area high school students. General admission is $10 and free for registered campers.
The XVII Elite Football Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The Odds 2 Beat Basketball Camp will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Both camps are opened to youngsters in fourth through 12th grades. The online registration cost for each camp is $100 per camper, or $120 on the day of the camp. Scholarships are provided. A discount of $80 is offered to those who register for both camps.
