The American Legion Band of the Tonawandas will perform regularly throughout the summer beginning with a 7 p.m. performance Thursday at the Quaker Arts Pavilion, 60 South Lincoln Ave., Orchard Park. The rain site is Orchard Park Middle School, adjacent to the pavilion.
The award-winning, 90-member band, which has performed continuously since 1947, is directed by Michael Shaw, music director at Frontier High School. All concerts are free and open to the public.
Future shows are: July 3, at 7:15 p.m., Kenney Field, Town of Tonawanda; July 27, 7 p.m., Bassett Park, Amherst; July 31, 2:30 p.m., Chautauqua Institute Amphitheater; Aug. 3, 6 p.m., University at Buffalo South Campus, Veterans Recognition Concert; Aug. 7, 7 p.m., Niawanda Park, City of Tonawanda; and Aug. 14, 7 p.m., Cheektowaga Town Park.
