North Tonawanda youth goes to prison for assault with bat

LOCKPORT – A North Tonawanda teenager who attacked a man with a metal bat on Halloween was sentenced Thursday to three years in state prison.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon tacked on three years of post-release supervision for Jacob M. Milliron, 18, of Washington Street. He pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, and the 7½ months he’s spent in the County Jail since the attack will count toward his sentence.

When Milliron pleaded guilty in April, he said he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, while Sheldon noted that Milliron had first undergone mental health treatment at age 6.
