Kate Hudson in town shooting her key role in 'Marshall'

Oscar nominee Kate Hudson is now in town to film her role in "Marshall," the major motion picture being shot across Western New York. Hudson plays Eleanor Strubing, a wealthy socialite who is a key character in the film.

Hudson has been chronicling her visit to Western New York through her Snapchat account. So far, she has visited Niagara Falls, taken a ride on the Maid of the Mist and eaten chicken wings. Hudson is prolific on social media, so there's no doubt she will have more to share during her shoot.

"Marshall" began filming across Western New York in May. The film, which stars Chadwick Boseman as a young Thurgood Marshall, is based on a significant court case in Marshall's early career. Eleanor Strubing, Hudson's character, accuses Marshall's client of rape. Marshall went on to become the first African-American to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.
