A Newstead man was charged Saturday after he shoved a park ranger who told him to get down from the top of the falls in Akron Falls Park.
An Erie County park ranger told the man to stop climbing the falls and to stay off the top of them, but the man refused to obey the order, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
The ranger, who is also a peace officer, tracked the man along a trail. That was when the man shoved the ranger.
The man denied having photo identification when a sheriff’s deputy arrived.
Brandon Taylor, 25, was charged with trespassing and obstructing governmental administration. He was released from the Erie County Holding Center after posting $200 bail.
