The ECMC Farmers’ Market at Grider, which opens for its eighth season from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, is seeking new farmers and growers to take part in its market across the street from the Erie County Medical Center campus. Free opportunities are available. Vendors may contact Kelly Showard at 898-4737. The market will be open every Friday through Sept. 30.
The market, designed to bring fresh produce and other healthy foods to people in Buffalo’s 14215 Zip Code area, also will host food demonstrations and youth outreach programs. Most vendors accept SNAP benefits, as well as WIC Vegetables and Fruits checks, WIC and Senior Farmers market coupons, Just Say Yes Health Bucks and Double Up Food Bucks.
