Miniature manicured trees and America’s favorite garden perennial will be in the spotlight this month at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens in South Park.
The Buffalo Bonsai Society will hold its annual Bonsai Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Botanical Gardens, with daily demonstrations on live trees and an opportunity to purchase bonsai, starter plants, accent plants and other supplies.
The Gardens will hold a Hosta Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 12, with hundreds of varieties on display as individual leaves in specimen vases. Judges from throughout the Northeast will award prizes. Both shows are included with regular admission of $9 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and student teenagers, $5 for children 3 to 12.
