RANSOMVILLE – The public is invited to take part in a pond study from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in Bond Lake Park on Lower Mountain Road. Sponsored by the Bond Lake Environmental and Beautification Committee, it is free and open to all ages.
Visitors will gather in the parking lot at 12:45 p.m. to pick up nets and containers, then use them to collect small plants and animals from the lake. Collections will be taken to Shelter 1 beside the lake, where participants can look for small microbes and plankton under lighted microscopes and magnifying glasses. Collections then will be returned to the lake. For more information, call 694-3488.
