Buffalo police on Saturday captured a suspect wanted for an April 7 robbery and shooting after the man tried unsuccessfully to hide in some bushes.
Darrin Clay, 48, of Nevada Avenue, was arrested after two police officers on routine patrol spotted him walking at Nevada and East Ferry Street. Clay fled to a nearby vacant lot, where the officers found him.
Clay is accusd of stealing $30 from a Buffalo man who gave him a ride home, and then shot at the car as he got out, leaving two dents on the front passenger door.
He was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal mischief and obstructing governmental administration.
