The victim, a 53-year-old Albany resident, told police the dog charged out of the yard and attacked her dog, biting it on an ear, and when she attempted to grab the pit bull’s collar, she was bitten on the left hand. Police said the woman was not seriously injured.

A bystander managed to get the dog under control, police said.
