No Buffalo stop for Tragically Hip tour, but close

We love them. And they always seemed to love us back.

But if you want to catch the Tragically Hip on the brief tour in support of its upcoming album, "Man Machine Poem," (out June 17) you won't be able to do so in the band's adopted second home of Buffalo. Happily, shows in Toronto (Aug. 10 and 12, Air Canada Centre); Hamilton (Aug. 16, First Ontario Centre) and London, Ont., (Aug. 8, Budweiser Gardens) are within reach.

The announcement of the Hip tour comes one day after the band revealed that singer/front-man/poet/shaman Gord Downie has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and makes Downie and the band's commitment to their fans, and to each other, obvious.
