Inflation calculator shows why pay raise is necessary
On the “50 years ago” page of the paper on May 11, I noticed an article about raising the minimum wage to $1.60. There is an inflation calculator on the web. According to that, $1.60 in 1966 would be equal to $11.82 today. I feel that this explains why the minimum wage is too low. Since the cost of living goes up every year, the minimum wage should be raised to $15, or at the very least $12.
