Think about being stuck indoors last weekend watching the snowflakes fall -- in mid-May.
This is the weekend to get outside, cut the grass and plant some flowers.
Temperatures will be nearly 20 degrees warmer.
The thermometer will rise into the mid-70s with almost full sun on Friday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
A storm system tracking to the south of the Buffalo Niagara region early Saturday will bring increased clouds. There's a chance for some light precipitation, first in the Southern Tier, and then in the Buffalo metro area during the afternoon hours, however, not more than about three-hundredths of an inch is possible.
Otherwise, there will be some peeks at the sun and temperatures will reach the upper 60s.
By Sunday, mostly sunny conditions return, according to the weather service, with a daytime high of 67 degrees.
Then, the mercury increases as next week wears on.
Here's the National Weather Service's extended forecast for next week:
Monday: Sunny☀️, High: 75°
Tuesday: Sunny☀️, High 76°
Wednesday: Mostly Sunny☀️, High 80°
Thursday: A chance for showers and thunderstorms☔️⚡️, High 81°
