The United Way carried the day during Buffalo’s Smartest Company trivia-themed event Friday night in Salvatore’s Italian Gardens, Lancaster. The Closing the Gap group and The Buffalo News came in second and third, respectively.
The event – now in its 10th year – raises money for Cradle Beach camp. Twenty teams competed in the event, which lasted about three hours..
To win, teams had to answer questions that came in sets of 30 – three of them, according to Carol Russo, a participant on The Buffalo News, team, which logged three consecutive wins in previous years.
A primary sponsor of the event Friday was the SEFCU Credit Union.
