LOCKPORT – A Town of Tonawanda man was sentenced Friday to two years in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision for molesting a girl in Niagara Falls last year.
Dean Dallesandro, 44, of Dolphann Drive, had pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted first-degree sexual abuse for the January 2015 incident with a girl who was then 6 years old.
“This is unforgivable,” Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon said. Dallesandro said, “It’s horrible what I’ve done. I’m sorry.”
Assistant District Attorney Robert A. Zucco said he suspected Dallesandro might have molested the girl in Tonawanda, too, but police had a confession for a Niagara Falls incident, so he will not be prosecuted in Erie County.
Defense attorney James J. Faso Jr. said Dallesandro was sexually abused himself when he was a boy. Zucco said Dallesandro told police “that this little girl was coming on to him in a sexual way, which is disturbing.”
