A Genesee County father and son are both facing sex charges.
State Police on March 30 charged Scott A. Reed, 50, of Elba, with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. He is accused of sexually abusing a minor over a 10-year period, a crime that was reported in March.
That investigation led to State Police and Perry Police charging Jonathan M. Reed, 22, also of Elba, with having sexual contact with two teenage girls in Erie and Wyoming counties.
The victims in each case are different, State Police said.
Deborah S. Reed, 51, wife of Scott and mother of Jonathan, was charged May 17 with child endangerment. State Police said she failed to provide protection to other children in the home after learning of past abuse by her husband.
Jonathan Reed, who was arrested May 10, faces several counts of second-degree rape, second-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child in Perry. He also was charged with second- and third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act in Lancaster.
The victims were 14 and 16 years old, police said Friday.
Deborah Reed has an appearance in Oakfield Town Court scheduled for later this month.
