A Bangladeshi high-school student walking home from a track meet was robbed of his backpack at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon at Sycamore Street and Oberlin Avenue, police reported.

The student told police he was approached by two men around 2:20 p.m. One of them pointed a gun at his chest and took his backpack that contained a cell phone, $120, track shoes and books, police said. Police said the gunman had a bandage on his left hand.
