BROCTON – A 28-year-old Brocton man has been charged with third-degree manufacturing of methamphetamine, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Aaron J. Clark, of 96 Central Ave., was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. A search of his property revealed items needed to produce meth, some of which had to be destroyed because they had become contaminated, the sheriff’s office said.
The search also located a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine oil, which will be processed at a laboratory and then an additional felony charge of second-degree criminal possession of methamphetamine will be lodged against Clark, investigators said.
Clark was arraigned before Brocton Village Justice James Craig and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 property bond.
