LOCKPORT – Niagara County sheriff’s deputies identified two suspects believed responsible for ransacking and burglarizing a vacant house trailer in the 6500 block of Ridge Road earlier this month.
Kristy M. Hotaling, 19, and Corey Soock, 25, who live in a neighboring trailer in the Ridge Road park were arraigned in Newfane Town Court on unspecified charges on Monday after deputies said they located the stolen property in their possession. Bail was set at $250 cash or $500 bond for each. A return court date was set for Tuesday.
The owner alerted the sheriff’s department to the suspects. She said she went around the park asking about her stolen porcelain doll and one of the suspects told her, “I have a really nice one if you want to see it. I got it from the trailer over there (pointing to the victim’s trailer.”)
A deputy was called to search the suspect’s trailer and found the doll and a stolen coffee table in a rear bedroom. Both were returned to the victim. A stolen television was not recovered, according to the report.
