St. Joe's lacrosse has been one of the better programs in the area the past few seasons.
Some of the players who have helped the Marauders rise signed letters of intent Wednesday at the Kenmore Avenue school.
Eric Deakin will continue his career at Division II LeMoyne. Regarded as the best goalie in the area the past three seasons, he is a multi-time All-Western New York first team selection as was one of the leaders who helped the Marauders win their first Monsignor Martin Association regular-season title in lacrosse last season.
His backup, Cameron Carpenter, also signed his letter to attend Division I St. Mary's in Maryland. Carpenter has shown he's an offensive threat as he's scored five goals as a goalie. He's also versatile as he filled a void last season at midfield by serving as the team's long-stick middie.
Carter Stefaniak, who leads the Marauders with 28 goals, and defender Drew House are heading to Canisius College.
