While chances are slim that Radiohead passes through Buffalo when the band inevitably hits the road in support of its recently released new album "A Moon Shaped Pool," Lazlo Hollyfeld will treat Buffalo to the next best thing at Buffalo Iron Works (49 Illinois St.) at 8 p.m. May 20.
The Queen City's long-running instrumental rock act, who over the years has been known to dive into the catalogs of bands like the Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem, is set to take on the influential Brit rockers' 2007 masterpiece, "In Rainbows," in its entirety.
Joining the experimental act will be musical friends David Calos (Applennium, Sonny Baker Band) and Chris Groves (Applennium, Fourem), all of whom have spent the last couple months perfecting the album. "In Rainbows," as you may remember, was originally released as a "pay-what-you-want" download, the first of its kind from a major recording artist.
Tickets are available for $7 -$10 (door, Ticketfly). Toronto's livetronic act Chameleon Project is set to open. Further event details can be found here.
