Comedy veteran Rickey Smiley headlines the latest edition of "Friday Night Laughs" the Tralf Music Hall in downtown Buffalo for two shows on May 20.
As a comedian, television host, actor and top-rated nationally syndicated radio personality, Smiley is one of the few “clean” comics among the top tier of contemporary comedians and has amassed a loyal fan base with his quick-witted delivery and captivating energy.
A native of Birmingham, Ala., Smiley developed a 25-year career serving as opening act for comedians like Steve Harvey, George Wallace and Carl Strong. He has also appeared in several feature film comedies including “All About The Benjamins,” “Friday After Next” and “Baggage Claim.” Recently, Smiley has starred in the sitcom “The Rickey Smiley Show,” which aired on TV One, and is a columnist on the FOX-produced tabloid nationally syndicated show “Dish Nation.” His latest project is “Rickey Smiley for Real,” a reality television series about his life.
Also featured on the show is comedy veteran Tu’Rae Gordon.
Two shows of "Friday Night Laughs" will be at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. May 20 at the Tralf (622 Main St.).
