Free skin cancer screenings will be available this weekend.
The University at Buffalo Department of Dermatology, together with Amherst’s Lenahan Dermatology, will have staff on hand to provide the free screenings. It’s part of a 30-year community outreach from the American Academy of Dermatology called SPOTme.
The checks will be performed by doctors, physician assistants, residents and medical students.
The screenings will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Walden Galleria. The screenings will be held in private dressing rooms on the mall’s upper level near Lord & Taylor. An informational desk will be set up on the mall’s lower level in front of Pac Sun.
Appointments are not necessary, but a few pre-scheduled time slots are available by calling 689-4377.
