A Concord Town Board member has resigned for personal reasons.
Board members accepted Councilman Paul F. Salzler’s resignation Thursday night. Supervisor Gary Eppolito lamented his departure.
“His knowledge of building practices was crucial to the town’s construction of its senior center in 2015,” Eppolito said. “The entire board will miss his dedication and knowledge. He will be difficult to replace.”
Salzler served as the town’s code enforcement officer and highway superintendent before becoming a member of the five-member Town Board.
In another matter, the board scheduled a public hearing for 6:45 p.m. June 9 about a six-month moratorium on using solar electricity for commercial purposes.
