The State Academy for Public Administration named Jill Anderson, senior vice president for commercial operations at the New York Power Authority, as a recipient of its Public Service Excellence Award. Anderson was cited for her leadership in a wide range of activities at NYPA, including the operation of its 16 generating facilities and how they coordinate with the New York Independent System Operator, which runs the state’s power grid.
The Post Graduate Year One Pharmacy Residency Program at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center was granted full six-year accreditation by The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Residency accreditation by ASHP is an important driver for excellence and serves as a bridge between education and practice.
People Inc. was awarded a two-year grant from the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation to support adolescents and young adults with intellectual disabilities (to age 26) in navigating life transitions. The grant, totaling $231,754, will be used to continue the work of People Inc.’s Life Quality Coaching Program, which helps an average of 50 individuals per month.
