Jamestown man charged with breaking into pizza restaurant where he worked

JAMESTOWN – A 37-year-old Jamestown man was arrested earlier in the week for the alleged burglary of the pizza restaurant where he worked, Jamestown Police reported Friday.

Peter P. Golonka of Jamestown was charged with third-degree burglary. Police allege that he entered Frescoes Pizza, 2 E. 2nd St., at 11:30 p.m. May 7 without permission, broke open a cash register and took money. Authorities say they identified Golonka from a surveillance camera that videotaped the incident.

He was remanded to the Chautauqua County jail with bail set at $10,000 cash.
