A Lewiston man faces drug charges after his arrest this week in the City of Tonawanda.
Police responding to the report of the reckless operation of a vehicle on Niagara Street on Tuesday afternoon found David G. Tanyi’s vehicle parked in a plaza on Niagara with the car’s stereo blaring. As a police lieutenant approached, Tanyi had a package of crack cocaine in his hand, according to City of Tonawanda police.
Tanyi, 28, also had a crack pipe in his vehicle and a package of Suboxone. He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Tonawanda City Court where bail was set at $5,000.
