BERGEN – A 66-year-old Rochester man was transported to the hospital by Mercy Flight after a truck crossed over the center of the road and struck his car head-on Thursday morning in the Genesee County town of Bergen.
Robert J. Bartz was driving west on State Route 33 when a truck going east driven by Glen A. Enouen crossed into the path of his car at the intersection of West Bergen Road just before 7:30 a.m., the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said.
Bartz had to be extricated from his vehicle and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, the sheriff’s office said. He was listed in satisfactory condition on Thursday afternoon.
Enouen, 52, of Batavia, and his passenger were not injured.
Authorities said speed and alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
