LEWISTON – Niagara University is organizing an end-of-year community garage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the Kiernan Center and the public is invited.
Started by members of Niagara’s Vincentian Mission Certificate Program, “2 Good 2 Toss” is a service project that invites all Niagara students and employees to donate items that are clean and in good condition, rather than tossing them into dumpsters or leaving them behind as the rush to summer break begins.
Items for sale may include small appliances such as toasters and microwaves, as well as mirrors, lamps, chairs, rugs, electrical equipment, books, and computers.
All proceeds benefit Niagara’s Office of Campus Ministry and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Unsold items in good condition will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. The initiative has raised more than $5,000 since its start four years ago.
The university is accepting and selling donated goods for this charity event and is not responsible for the condition of items purchased. Questions may be directed to Virginia Pasceri at email@example.com.
