I'm Lockport raised, I attended George Southard Elementary, Northpark Middle (when it was still a middle school), & I graduated Lockport High School in 2010 with Honors. Since then I have earned a Political Science Degree from the University at Buffalo Undergraduate Program class of 2014. I have been blessed by my community and want to give back by serving as a member of the Board of Education. I love Lockport, and often brag about how kind our wonderful community is. I am honored to have been raised here and humbled by the support I've received running for Board of Education.

Please describe the top issues facing your school district and how you would address them as a school board member:

There are many; budget, teacher funding, excessive testing, school closure/ consolidation, to name a few. But I believe that gaining integrity;the state of being whole and undivided, would go a long way to helping solve all of our issues. The top issue facing the Lockport School District is that we are a district divided. Board members do not have open communication with teachers, students, or faculty. How can the board truly determine if policies set forth are effective & beneficial, if we don't communicate with those affected by it? I think we need open communication in the district, so we can bring integrity back to education.

Do you think public education in New York is headed in the right direction? Yes

Please explain why, in 100 words or less:

As long as we continue on the path we are on, we are headed in the right direction.
