A Buffalo man was charged with heroin possession and driving without a license after he was pulled over for a nonfunctioning side headlamp.
Buffalo police said Sixto Figueroa attempted to walk away when he was pulled over at 5:31 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Trenton Avenue on the city’s lower West Side.
Police said Figueroa had no license and had a warrant out for his arrest. They said a black fanny pack containing a used syringe with residue, two bottle caps with heroin residue, a full glassine envelope with heroin and 11 glassine envelopes with heroin residue were found seized on the suspect. After his arrest, police also recovered a plastic bag containing cocaine from Figueroa.
He faces several charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband.
