TEDxBuffalo conference seeks video pitches from would-be speakers

TEDxBuffalo is now accepting video pitches from speakers and performers through May 22 for its next conference in October.

TEDxBuffalo is licensed by the nonprofit TED, or Technology Entertainment Design. Its conferences include multimedia presentations, lectures and artistic performances. The group is looking to showcase a diverse range of innovative ideas and presenters for TEDxBuffalo 2016, the sixth year for the event. The first four were held in the Canisius College Montante Cultural Center and last year’s event was held in Babeville.

Speakers will receive coaching from TEDx committee members, watch TED and TEDx videos and attend several table reads in the months leading up to the conference. Speakers will also attend a full-day dress rehearsal before the event.

TEDxBuffalo 2016 will take place in mid-October but the precise date and location haven’t been announced.
