The Innovation Center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus is hosting an open house on Thursday for members of the public to explore the venue and meet employees of the companies housed there.
The center, named after attorney Thomas R. Beecher Jr., is host to fully formed companies, start-up companies, entrepreneurs, people and institutions offering services, the 43North business plan competition, the Z80 technology incubator and the dig – short for design innovation garage – co-working space. It opened in January 2010 in a renovated portion of an abandoned Trico windshield wiper plant.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, the public is invited to “Taste the Space” at the center, at 640 Ellicott St., and meet representatives from more than 100 companies. Anyone interested in attending can register at www.bnmc.org/events/icopenhouse2016 or by calling 854-BNMC.
